For applicants who have already completed Grade 12, a certified copy of their final Grade 12 results or National Senior Certificate (NSC). For applicants currently in Grade 12, a certified copy of their latest school results.

  • Proof of admission:

A copy of the acceptance letter or proof of registration from the public university or TVET college where the applicant has been admitted or is applying for admission.

  • Students with disabilities:

A completed and signed Disability Annexure A form, along with any relevant medical records or supporting documents.

  • Other relevant documents:

Additional documentation may be required depending on the applicant’s specific circumstances, such as proof of NSFAS-approved allowances, retrenchment letters, or death certificates for deceased parents.

  • You have to visit the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za online
  • Then, you have to click on the “myNSFAS” tab
  • After that, you create your myNSFAS account
  • After creating myNSFAS account, you then have to click on the “Apply” tab
  • Answer the following questions you see on your screen
  • Update all your personal information
  • Upload all the required supporting documents
  • Click on “Submit” to send your application for review.
