What Is TVET

• Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) refers to an educational approach focused on imparting practical skills and knowledge tailored to specific job roles or industries. The primary objective of TVET programs is to equip students with the technical and vocational proficiencies essential for entering the workforce or enhancing their professional trajectories.

TVET colleges offer diverse arrays of courses and programs spanning various sectors, including agriculture, engineering, tourism, hospitality, and information technology, among others. These programs lead to qualifications such as certificates, diplomas, or even degrees, contingent upon the particular course and duration of study.

• TVET plays a pivotal role in addressing skill deficits within the job market, augmenting employability prospects, and fostering economic advancement. By furnishing students with pertinent and hands-on skills, TVET institutions prepare them for gainful employment, thereby contributing significantly to a nation’s overall development and prosperity.
