The college offers a range of courses in various fields, including engineering, business studies, information technology, hospitality, and tourism. To assist students with financial constraints, the college offers bursaries and loans through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
NSFAS is a government-funded program that provides financial assistance to eligible students who are pursuing their studies at public universities and TVET colleges. The scheme covers the costs of tuition fees, accommodation, textbooks, and other related expenses. The program aims to ensure that students from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to higher education.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) typically opens its applications for funding each year between September and january. This allows prospective students who require financial assistance to apply for funding for the upcoming academic year. It’s important to note that the exact dates for NSFAS applications can vary from year to year, so it’s always best to check the NSFAS website or contact their customer service directly for the most up-to-date information.
When applying for NSFAS funding, students need to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria and provide all the required information and documentation. This includes a valid South African ID, proof of income, academic transcripts, and any other relevant documentation.
