Applicants must submit certified copies of their parents’ or legal guardians’ South African IDs. If your parents or guardians are deceased, you need to provide certified copies of their death certificates.
Applicants must provide proof of their parents’ or guardians’ income, such as recent payslips, a letter from their employer, or pension statements. If your parents or guardians are self-employed or unemployed, you need to submit an affidavit stating their employment status and income.
Applicants must submit their most recent academic results, either their Grade 12 results, if they have completed high school, or their latest tertiary academic records if they are already enrolled in a university or TVET college.
Applicants must provide proof of their residential address, such as a utility bill, a rental agreement, or an affidavit confirming their address.

How To Create MyNsfas Account For 2025/2026

Go to the official NSFAS website at www.nsfas.org.za.

Fill in the required personal information, such as your full name, surname, South African ID number, and cell phone number. Make sure you enter this information accurately, as it will be used to verify your identity.
Choose a unique password for your MyNSFAS account. Ensure that it is strong and secure, combining uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

You will receive a One-Time PIN (OTP) via SMS to the cell phone number you provided during registration. Enter this OTP on the website to verify your account.
After successfully verifying your account with the OTP, your MyNSFAS account will be activated, and you can now log in to access the portal’s features.
Use your registered email address or ID number and your chosen password to log in to your MyNSFAS account.
